He earned a Masters degree in economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently a staff adviser to the Brazilian Senate. Marcelo Neri is head of the Centro de PolÃticas Sociais (www.fgv.br/cps) and EPGE, at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. Amaury de Souza is a political analyst at MCM Consultores in São Paulo.
